SERMON #2 A NEW ATTITUDE IN CHRIST
COLOSSIANS 1:3-8

Question: What are the three greatest and most enduring
commodities in
life? Believe it or not, they are not commodities that can be
bought or sold.
The three greatest commodities are commodities you cannot see,
feel, taste,
smell, hear. And yet, if you have these three commodities--you
can lose
everything else that you see, feel, taste, smell, or hear and
still live life to its
fullest.

The three commodities that you must have in order to live life
to
it's fullest are:
1.faith
2.hope
3.love
You can lose everything else, but if you have faith, hope and
love--you can still experience life to it's fullest.

Ex: The book of Proverbs says in Prov. 13:7 "There is he that
maketh
himself rich, yet hath nothing there is he that maketh himself
poor yet hath
great riches."

How is it a rich man can be poor ... and a poor man can be rich?

A rich man can be poor because real wealth, real riches are not
measured by "things" or "possessions." Real wealth is measured
by
godliness, happiness, holiness and the fruit of the spirit ...
faith, hope and
love.

Paul said in 1 Cor. 13:13 "And now these three remain: faith,
hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

And where does one find faith, hope and love? Only in Jesus
Christ. That is why Paul tells the Colossians they are Living
Life To Its
Fullest because they have a new attitude in Christ.
