Now join me tonight in 1 Corinthians chapter 12 as we
continue our series of messages under the heading...
Our Savior... Our Church... Our Future!
As Savior... Jesus is building His Church!
Matthew 16.18, "And I say to you that you are Peter,
and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates
of Hell shall not prevail against it."
Look around! Jesus is building His church! Jesus
didn't say, "You will build My church." He didn't
say, "You will build Your church." Nor did He say, "I
will build Your church.
Jesus said, "I will build My church." The church
belongs to Jesus! And He is building what He bought!
And He bought it with His blood!
So... As Savior... Jesus is building His Church.
As Church... we are the body of Christ.
Ephesians 1.22-23, "And He put all things under His
feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the
church which is His body, the fullness of Him who
fills all in all."
Colossians 1.18, "And He is the head of the body, the
church..." Now... what does the head do? It calls
the shots... right? And anything with more than one
head is a freak. And anything with no head is dead!
"And He is the head of the body, the church."
So... As Savior... He is building His Church.
As Church... we are the body of Christ.
As to our Future... it is bright and certain.
Jesus said, ".... I will build My church and gates of
Hell shall not prevail against it."
Our Savior... Our Church... Our Future!
We're learning on these Sunday nights more about what
it means to Exalt the Savior!
Colossians 1.18, "And He is the head of the body, the
church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the
dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence."
We saw last time together that one way we lift up
Jesus... exalt the savior is through ...
