Open your bibles to Colossians 1. I've got one last Christmas present for you this morning. I'm giving you a shorter sermon than usual. Not short, but shorter. You're welcome. Last week we studied verses 15-20 of this chapter that describes 'Who Jesus Is'. That's the core of Christmas. You can have a holiday without knowing Jesus, but you can't have Christmas. Today, we're going to look at verses 19-29 and we're going to see 'What Jesus Offers'. We've all heard of the gift that keeps on giving. That's a perfect description of Jesus. He is the gift of God; and He gives gifts as God. Ok? So what does Jesus offer? Look at Colossians 1:19-29 (READ).

In V19, Paul repeats who Jesus is: ''..in Jesus all the fullness should dwell.'' Last week, we said the word 'fullness' means 'the sum total'. And 'to dwell' means to be 'at home permanently'. Paul says the sum total of all God's divine power, knowledge, and attributes were fully and permanently in Jesus. Jesus was the physical representation of the invisible God. In other words, all of God was in Jesus and all of Jesus was in God. That means...

He's not a creation of God like the Jehovah's Witnesses teach. He's the God of creation.

He's not A son of God like the Mormon's teach. He's THE Son of God.

He's not a man who became a god like the New Agers teach. He's the God who became a man.

He's not a teacher sent by God like Nicodemus thought. He was God sent to teach.

The Gospels clearly displayed His divinity. He was God in His power. He spoke to the wind and waves and they obeyed Him. He was God in His pardon. He told a sinful, lame man to stand up and walk your body is healed, and your sins forgiven. He was God in His position. People bowed before Him in love, worship, and praise and He accepted it. He was God in His perception. He told the woman at the well that not only had she been married five times, and ...
