Turn in your bibles to Colossians 1. Here is the zillion-dollar question: Who do you believe Jesus Christ to be? I say that's the zillion-dollar question because there is not another question more important to get right than that one because your eternal destiny hinges upon your answer.

Jesus said to Nicodemus, ''For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.'' Jesus told his disciples, ''Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.'' Paul told the Philippian jailor, ''Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.''

Your eternity hinges upon who you believe Jesus to be. So you can't afford to get this wrong. Satan knows this, of course, that's why he works overtime distorting the truth and confusing people as to Jesus' true identity. And confusion runs rampant these days. For example...

The Jehovah Witnesses believe Jesus, before His earthly life, was Michael the Archangel created by God. They believe He then became the Messiah at His baptism. They teach He is a god, but not the God.

The Mormons teach that Jesus and Satan are both sons of God and spirit brothers. They were given free will to choose to be good or evil. Jesus chose good; Satan chose evil.

Muslims believe Jesus was a virgin born prophet who is to be listened to, but deny His substitutionary death.

Hindus believe Jesus was in India during His teenage years and learned to be a guru, and that His death led Him to being reincarnated to another state of existence.

New Agers believe we can all become divine just like Jesus.
