I Corinthians 13
Thank you for coming today to honor the life of our brother and show your love and support for his wife and the family.
I Cor.13:4-7 ''Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.'' He's too patient. I saw him three days before he died. He could barely speak. Even then he was a dying man but he was kind to others. His kindness shown through his soulful eyes and his warm smile. His kindness came through in his love for his little dogs and other animals. Of course, he was kind and patient with his wife and she certainly was with him.
II. ''Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.''
You've met people who were boastful, proud, rude, demanding, irritable, and begrudging. Those kinds of people are all in the news these days - especially in Washington and Hollywood. C was the exact opposite of those people. He didn't live a flashy life of fame and power. He liv ...
