Believe it or not... there are still two gifts of
grace still unopened and tonight we are going to
slowly unwrap them.
So take God's Word and turn to 1 Corinthians
chapter 12. As we begin unwrapping these last two
gifts... let me remind you that GOD'S GIFTS OF GRACE
can be divided into three divisions:
-the support gifts that equip the church.
-the service gifts that encourage the church.
-the sign gifts that established the church.
And the last two gifts fall under this last
category: the sign gifts that established the church.
You will remember there are four in all: Healings,
Miracles, Tongues and Interpretation of Tongues.
Now look with me to 1 Corinthians 12.10. In
unwrapping these last two gifts... let's consider:

1 Corinthians 12.10
Verse 10, "... to another different kinds of
tongues..." What does the Bible teach about the gift
of tongues? Is this a gift for today? Is this a gift
for us?
Some people believe it is! And some of these
people love Jesus! They love the Word of God! They
love the church! And yet believe that the gift of
tongues was never intended to be a temporary gift, but
a permanent gift!
Some of our charismatic brothers say that the
gift of tongues is the sign of real spirituality!
That your Christian life is not complete without it.
I read this week an old story about a Roman
master who had a rebellious son and a very faithful
slave. He told his son, "I'm so displeased with you
I'm giving everything I have to Marcellas except one
gift. You can pick one gift. Marcellas gets the
rest."
The quick minded son said, "Fine then! I pick
Marcellas." You see... when he got Marcellas, he got
it all. And when you come to faith in Jesus
Christ...... when you get Jesus, you get it all! You
