Tonight... we are continuing our study of GOD'S
GIFTS OF GRACE. As you are turning to 1 Corinthians
chapter 12... I want to ask: How was the Spiritual Gift
Fair? I believe it was not only motivational... but
educational. What a rare opportunity to discover the
various ministries that we are presently a part of.
All you had to do was walk through the Fair to see
what God is up to in and through our Church! It took a
lot of people working together to conduct the Spiritual
Gift Fair. In fact... if you had anything to do with
the Spiritual Gift Fair... if you manned a station...
if you helped with the set up... if you helped people
fill out the surveys or helped in any other capacity...
would you please stand.
Thank you for making the Spiritual Gift Fair a
success! You may be seated. Well... in our study of
GOD'S GIFTS OF GRACE... we have learned that there are
Service Gifts... Support Gifts... as well as Sign
Gifts. And tonight... we are unwrapping the second of
the four "sign gifts." You will remember there are
four "sign gifts" in all: Healings, Miracles, Tongues
and the Interpretation of Tongues.
We have learned that these four "sign gifts" were
used in establishing the Church of the Lord Jesus
Christ. And once His church was established and
affirmed... that in the strictest sense... there was no
longer any need for them. Especially once we had the
written Word of God.
Now having unwrapped "the gifts of healings"...
tonight...we come to the second of the "sign gifts."
That gift is found in 1 Corinthians 12.10 where we
read, "to another the working of miracles,..."
So what is this gift all about: the working of
miracles? Is this a gift that God continues to give
individuals in His church? Or is this a temporary gift
no longer need? Which r ...
