1 Corinthians 12.1-10

As you are turning to 1 Corinthians 12... listen
to the praise of David in Psalm 139.14, "I will praise
You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very
well."
Did you know that you are "wonderfully made" by
God? You say, "Well Ernest, I sure don't feel
wonderfully made tonight!" Well... you are! And do
you know what that word "wonderfully" means? It means
"to be distinct... to be marked out."
God has made you distinct! He has marked you
out! You ask, "Marked out to do what?" To do what
only you can do the way only you can do it! That's
why He's given you a Gift of Grace... a spiritual
gift!!
And for RSBC to be all God desires... every
member needs to discover and deploy their gift within
the life of our church! That is why God has brought
you here! So that you may exercise your spiritual
gift for "the profit of all." You have truly been
wonderfully made!
Within the membership of our church... some are
unaware of their gifts while others are withholding
their gifts. Then there are members who are misusing
their gift. The world will pay a lot of money for
your spiritual gifts!
We also have some members who are discovering
their gifts. But praise God we have some members who
have deployed their gifts within the church to
strengthen it!
Now take your Bible and join me in the book of 1st
Corinthians 12 as we pick up where we left off last
Sunday night learning about God's Gifts of Grace!
Now let me remind you what we saw last Sunday in
thinking about God's Gifts of Grace.
THE DEFINITION OF GOD'S GIFTS OF GRACE.
12.4, "Now there are diversities of gifts, but
the same Spirit." And the Greek word translated
"gifts" is charismata. It's where we get the word
"charismatic."
Now... some people divide the family of God into
charism ...
