How To Know God's Will
Dr. David Davis
Romans 12:1-2

The question is often asked to me, ''How can I know God's will for my life? For my church? For my family?''

If it is so important to be in God's will, how can we know His will?

Romans 12:2 -- It is possible to prove the will of God. Of course, you do not prove it to God; He already knows it.

If you prove it to anyone -- you prove it to yourself.

Here are some simple truths in understanding how to know God's will for your life.

Realize that God has a very definite purpose and will for your life.

When you consider the personal interest that God has for you it is astounding.

Matthew 10:30 - The hairs on your head.
Exodus 3:7 - Your sorrows
Psalm 56:8 - God records your tears
Psalm 139:2-6 - Your downsitting and uprising; your thoughts and ways. Even when you are asleep God is thinking about you.

You need to pray and confess that you want to do the will of God. It's one thing to say it -- it's quite another to do it.

III. PRIORITY
There must be an absolute surrender to God. Romans 12:1-2 If you want to prove to yourself what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God, then present your body a living sacrifice. Give yourself over to Christ. Place yourself as an instrument in God's hands -- yield yourself to Christ.

To know God's will -- you must be available. You are only valuable to God as you are available to God.

Being available means being accessible -- having every are ...
