Hoarders is a reality-TV-show that first appeared in 2009. It depicts the real-life struggles and treatment of people who suffer from compulsive hoarding disorder. After six seasons, Hoarders concluded and a spinoff began called Hoarders: Then and Now.
It's all about people who accumulate stuff that is either worthwhile or worthless. These are people that did not grow up during the Great Depression; for the most part they are not poor; they simply cannot come to grips with simplifying their lives.

That's also why so many enjoy dining at a buffet. You agree to pay a price, and in the name of stewardship, you fill your plate multiple times because, ''We gotta get our money's worth.''
MORE IS BETTER is not limited to food. Ever buy new clothes? When we lived in Cincinnati I sold suits at a men's shop called Nadler's at the Forest Fair Mall. I was paid a commission and that commission increased with every add-on. The add-ons included shirts, ties, belts, socks and shoes.
MORE IS BETTER is true in almost every area of life. Ever inherit an estate? What do you do with your new-found wealth? You buy the things you always wanted! The more -- the better!
MORE IS BETTER is an accepted way of life for most. If cheese is good on fries, it's better w/popcorn. If one income is good, two incomes are better. If the Indiana lottery is fun, the Las Vegas is better. If 25 channels of cable are good, 425 channels of satellite are better!
I was in a relative's home recently and he has nearly 1,000 channels! It's mostly junk. They don't have any premium channels. I said, ''You can eliminate the ones you don't watch from your guide so you can fin ...
