"Gambling Fever"
1 Timothy 6.6-10

We saw last Sunday from the Old Testament book of
Malachi that Money Matters to us because we need it.
And that Money Matters to God because He has it. And
Money Matters to Satan because he wants it!
Friend, Satan knows that disobedience to the Word of
God in any area drives us into bondage! I'm talking
to some people today that are in financial bondage!
And how we need the wisdom of God when it comes to our
money!
Proverbs 23.4-5, "Do not over work to be rich; because
of your own understanding, cease! Will you set your
eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make
themselves wings; They fly away like an eagle toward
heaven."
The Bible has much to say about our finances! In
fact, of the 38 parables Jesus gave that 16 of them
deal with our relationship with material goods!
You'll find about 500 verses on prayer and another 500
verses on faith. But there are around 2000 verses on
stewardship and our relationship to material good!
You see, God is interested in your money because He
knows that where your treasure is, that is where your
heart is! And let me say that one common denominator
in all divorces is related to finances! You would
think that today as couples are married they have in
their vows, "until debt do we part."
"Theirs was a beautiful marriage, but for one little
flaw; He was quick on the deposit, but she was quicker
on the draw."
Well, weather you are wealthy or Poor . . .Our enemy
is the master of deceit! He specializes in tricking
us into bondage! And I don't know of any worst type
of bondage than addiction!
One man said that addiction "is an appetite that begs
to be fed. It won't stop pleading until I satisfy it.
And then, it's only silent for awhile." One woman
said that addiction "is something that's on my mind
almost all the time. If I'm awake, I'm either feeling
