This morning we're in Romans chapter 12 thinking about
God's Gifts of Grace! We're going to begin reading in
a minute beginning in verse 3.

Now because God gives every believer a special ability
to build up the body of Christ . . . you friend, are
important to God! And not only to God, but to the
body of Christ! Paul says in 1 Corinthians 12.27,
"Now you are the body of Christ, and members
individually."

You say, "Pastor, how can I be important to the body
of Christ? I'm not very smart! I'm not very strong!
I don't have much to offer the body of Christ!"
Friend . . . you are the kind of person God often uses
the most! Did you know that?

1 Corinthians 1.25-29, "Because the foolishness of God
is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger
than men. For you see your calling, brethren, that
not many (not all) wise according to the flesh, not
many (not all) mighty, not many (not all) noble, are
called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the
world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the
weak things of the world to put to shame the things
which are mighty; and the base things of the world and
the things which are despised God has chosen, and the
things which are not, to bring to nothing the things
that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence."

How many of you have won a state championship or a
beauty contest or graduated Valedictorian of your
class? God can even use you! "Not many wise
according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many
noble, but God has chosen the foolish things of the
world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the
weak things of the world to put to shame the things
that are mighty,"
