On June 24, 2016 Christy Sheats called a family meeting. Her husband assumed that she had decided to tell their two daughters that their father wanted a divorce. Instead, she pulled out a gun and shot their girls! When the Police responded Sheats threatened them ... and she was shot dead.

People magazine attempted to unravel the mystery of the ''...perfect mother who imploded'' (July 1, 2016). It began with the death of her grandfather, which was followed by the death of her mother three months later. In the months that followed she was hospitalized three times, was diagnosed with depression, was prescribed medications, and hen her husband gave up on their marriage.

The Life Verses for this week were submitted by Nancy Howald and Ed Simpson:

Psalms 42:11 Why, my soul, are you depressed? Why are you upset? Put your hope in God, for I will praise Him again!
