Solomon had it all! He literally had it all. Riches, fame, wealth, and women in spades! He could own anything he wanted, go anywhere his wives desires and experience any pleasure his mind could imagine.
Nothing was beyond his reach, and yet his life was empty:
Ecc. 1:8 Everything is utterly weary and tiresome! No matter how much we see, we are never satisfied. No matter how much we hear, we are not content.
9 History merely repeats itself; there is nothing new under the sun.
10 What can you point to that is new?

3. Marilyn Monroe died in 1962 at the age of 36, yet this dress that she wore has gained in value. It was sold at auction in 1999 for $1.3 million.
4. And here's an image of the Virgin Galactic. Ever dream of going into space, where no man has gone before? As of Thursday the waiting list is 545 people deep, but if you deposit$250,000 you can become No. 546 on the waiting list!
Could these things make you happy? Sure! Could they keep you happy? Could they fulfill you for a lifetime? I'd say the chance are slim!
I'm not interested in owning the Hearst Castle (too many bathrooms to clean), or owning a Swedish Trevita (I'm unhappy getting 22 miles per gallon in my Ford Ranger) ... or Marilyn's dress. My wife looks great in anything she wears and anything Marilyn can do, Christie an do better!
But I wouldn't mind listing those items on eBay! Or auctioning them off to the highest bidder! Or investing the profit in a secure payback! Or retiring on t ...
