INTRODUCTION:

The church is to be bound together in unity. In fact, nothing is so vital to the life and health of the church as a spirit of common love and purpose. However, the devil seeks to destroy unity.
We must all hang together, or we shall all hang separately.

Two chickens tied at the legs and thrown over a clothesline may be united, but they do not have unity.What is that unified us, that draws us together as believers? Is this building that we meet in? Is it our membership at FBC Swartz? In our passage this morning Paul addresses three areas that were threatening to splinter the fellowship at Phillipi. Three factors that ought to unite us, rather than separate us. This morning we will take a close look at these three. My purpose is to cause you to examine your life, to allow the Holy Spirit to us if we are truly united as we ought to be. In our homes, and in our church.

I) WE ARE TO BE FRIM IN LIVING OUT THE FAITH-VS. 27 Conduct- To be a citizen, to live according to the rules and customs of a state or city. Citizenship in the kingdom of God begins with salvation! As Christians we are citizens of heaven. Philippians 3:20 20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,We are to live as good citizens of the kingdom of God. We have the responsibility to living a heavenly life on this earth in the midst of ungodly people and surroundings. The church is to be a colony of heaven! Holiness means to be sanctified, to be separate, to be pure.
