Introduction:

- The Penman

The book of First Timothy is the first of what is called ''The Pastoral Epistles.'' The other two epistles or letters are ''Second Timothy and Titus.'' These three books were written specifically to two young men, Timothy and Titus. The writer of these three books was none other than Paul himself. The mighty apostle wrote thirteen books that are clearly identified and associated with him because he attaches his name to them.

We are fully convinced that Paul wrote the books of Romans, 1st and 2nd Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1st and 2nd Thessalonians, 1st and 2nd Timothy, Titus, and Philemon. There is much debate as to who wrote the book of Hebrews; whereas many attribute it to Paul, but just as many argue he did not write it. I do know this in all thirteen of the letters that we previously mentioned, there are two distinct links that we find from each book. The apostle's name is clearly attached to each of those thirteen epistles and the great of ''grace and peace'' is found in all thirteen of the epistles. If Paul wrote the book of Hebrews, I am puzzled as to why we do not find his name attached to the letter and why did he not salute them with a word about God's ''grace and peace.''
