Spurgeon and Murray on Who Makes the Biggest Impact for Christ

God used Charles Spurgeon's preaching in the 19th Century to bring thousands of people to faith in Christ. Even so, Charles Spurgeon himself once said, ''I would rather teach one man to pray than ten men to preach.''

That's because he knew it was not his preaching that brought people to Christ; it was God drawing people to Himself in answer to prayer.

Andrew Murray, another great 19th Century preacher, put it this way, ''The man who mobilizes the Christian church to pray will make the greatest contribution to world evangelization in history.''
