Steve Jones

INTRODUCTION: A common question in the wake of a hurricane is ''How long were you without __________ (power)?'' Going without power for a day or two (or more) helps one realize just how important ''power'' is in our lives. In the days following a hurricane one of the most welcome sights in a powerless neighborhood is that of a power company utility truck rumbling by on the street. When you see that you have hope that someone is going to give you some power. Some experts have asserted that if a hostile nation, like North Korea, were able to detonate an electro-magnetic pulse bomb in space over the USA that it would potentially knock out our power grid and take ten years to rebuild. Within 12 to 18 months of such an attack, the casualties in an America trying to survive without power would be 90%. We need power. And electricity is only one kind of power. There is political power, military power, economic power, and there used to be flower power. But I'm here to talk about spiritual power.
