Psalm 145: 1-3, 7-8


1I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.8 The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
What motivates you?

For those who must go to a job each day, what motivates that? That is obvious, you have demands made upon you that you must meet, and because of getting up and going there is a reward call payday. What motivates you to make trips to the Doctor? That's obvious; you want to stay as well as you can, you want to know what is going well with your body, and what you might be able to do better to live a healthier life.

What motivates you to make weekly trips to your beauty salon for your appointments or to your barber? That's obvious; you want to look as best as you can. What motivates you to make weekly trips to the grocery store? That is obvious, you like to eat, and the grocery store has the nutrients you want and need.

What motivates you to put your body through a grueling exercise if you do, or to take long and brisk walks? You want to have the best appearance, and it helps you to be healthy.
Motivation is a powerful tool, isn't it?

As believers, like one that says that we believe and realize that God is our source and strength. And that life is the results of a loving and patient God, then that should motivate us to be faithful to God.
