1 Corinthians 13:13
''And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.''
1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV)
Four Greek Words for Love
- storge: a natural feeling of affection for family and close friends.
- eros: a love of physical passion that is based on feelings that can change. It's a conditional love focused on receiving.
- phileo: a love that involves giving and receiving because ''our'' happiness becomes more important than just ''my'' happiness. It involves each person giving 50%, but it can still collapse in a crisis.
- agape: a love that chooses to place great value on the one loved whether
it's deserved or not. It's a commitment that produces loving actions that create powerful feelings. It's an unconditional love that keeps giving 100% regardless of receiving.

''Do not use harmful words, but only helpful words, the kind that

- Don't take it out on each other, instead take it to the Lord.
''But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. 'Save me, Lord!' he shouted.'' Matthew 14:30 (NLT)
