The Rapture Joke

Some days at work just don't go the way you planned. Herbert Washington went to work at Significant Plastics, Inc. on this day just like he did any other day. He had told his coworkers many times of his intense interest in the end times and Jesus' Second Coming. He had a fear that he might not be good enough and might miss the rapture.

During the day he left the room for a few minutes to take a break and was totally shocked to see most of his coworkers gone when he returned. They were nowhere to be seen but their clothes were laid on the chairs as if they had simply vanished. A Muslim custodian was hysterical saying everyone had disappeared while he was watching.

Mr. Washington, assuming the rapture had occurred, suddenly fell to the floor clutching his chest saying, ''I knew you'd forget me, Jesus! What did I do wrong?'' He was quickly taken to a local hospital in hopes of saving his life. One of his coworkers later commented, ''We didn't mean to scare him to death. He's just always talking about it, so today we decided to turn the tables on him.'' Fortunately, they didn't literally scare him to death. He had heart bypass surgery and upon the last report was recovering well.
