There are things you see, hear and experience in life that make you stop and ask questions. Questions like...
- Who was the first person to watch a chicken lay and an egg and think, ''Can I eat that?''
- Why do we think waving our arms or contorting our bodies in one direction or another will steer our golf shot, team's field goal attempt or foul ball the way we want it to go?
- At the movie theatre, which armrest is yours?
If we evolved from monkeys and apes, why are they still around?
- If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to go?
- Why do they call miniature chocolates ''fun size?'' Wouldn't it be more fun to eat a full-grown chocolate?

In Matthew chapters 24-25, which is Jesus' second longest discourse, the Olivet Discourse, Jesus' disciples saw and heard something that made them ask Jesus a question, one about Jesus' Second Coming, a question many have been intrigued about through the years.

Jesus and His disciples were leaving the Temple. Jesus was leaving for the last time. (The glory of the Lord was departing the Temple). As Jesus and the disciples were climbing the Mt. Olives, opposite the Temple and higher than the Temple complex, its beauty caught their eyes and they pointed it out to Him. (Probably, ''Look at that Lord. Isn't it beautiful. Nothing like it in the world.)
- Indeed, the Temple and the Temple complex was beautiful. It was one of the most impressive and beautiful buildings of their day. It was an architectural marvel.
- The stones were 40' long x 12' high x 12' deep and weighed in at over 200,000 pounds. The stones were a white marble and roofs of gold would have been blindingly brilliant in the sun.
- ''To pious Jews such as Jesus' disciples that building complex represented not only the beauty of Israel's culture and the glory of God's presence but also the permanence of Israel's religion.'' (PTW pg. 696)
- It's as if the disciples are sayin ...
