We're learning together these days from the book of Exodus about saying Good-bye to bondage and Hello to Blessing! So many people today both young and old are living in bondage rather than experiencing God's blessing! There's no blessing in bondage and no bondage in blessing! God not only wants to break the bondage and set you free ... but He can! In fact ... He's the only One who can!
That's what the book of Exodus is all about. The name ''exodus'' means ''the way out.'' It tell you the way out of bondage! That's what God gave us the book of Exodus! To show us how to exit from the life of bondage and how to enter the life of blessing! Now having said that .. look with me to Exodus 13. The Israelites and the Egyptians just experienced the Passover! God said, ''When I see the blood, I will pass over you.'' The same blood that brought deliverance to some brought destruction to others! The same blood that brought protection for some brought punishment to others! And that which determined the affect was the application of the blood!
One was under the blood while the other was over the blood! And I pray God that you're under the blood by inviting Jesus Christ to come into your life and save you! Now we come to ''The Red Sea Miracle.'' After 400 years of bondage in Egypt ... the children of Israel were finally leaving and on their way to the Promised Land! The Passover was behind them .. but soon ... they would be looking for an Over Pass! From the Passover to looking for an Overpass! ''The Red Sea Miracle''
Exodus 13.17-22 Now as we think about ''The Red Sea Miracle'' .. (1) THE PRESENCE WITH THE ISRAELITES. Now .. we read that the presence of the Lord was with the children of Israel! His presence was seen .. -in His directions. (vv.17-18)
Rather than directing them the shortest route ... verse 18 tells us that He ''led the people around by way of the wilderness ...
