Have you ever been in a cold church? It is a tragic experience to be a part of a church where there is no movement of God. You know -- come in the door -- stand up -- sit down -- sing a few songs -- pray a couple of times -- listen to the choir -- watch the preacher turn beet red -- sing a couple of verses of the invitation -- and zilch! Nothing! And then you go home - ho hum!

I've been in churches like that where the pastor and people have lost their vision.

''Where there is no vision the people perish.''

But I have also been in churches where it was an unusual day of worship if no one came to know Christ -- no one joined the church -- no one made a decision to get right with God.

God's Word gives us a model of the kind of church that is characterized by ''great grace.''

What is grace?
G - God's
R - Riches
A - At
C - Christ's
E - Expense

Grace is God's unmerited favor. The truth is -- any favor we get from God is unmerited.

What is a deeper meaning of grace -- the kind that He visits a church or a Christian with?
''Grace is an endowment of power from God which enables a church or Christian to do the will of God.''

Do you realize that God has a will for you that can only be accomplished by God's grace?

When God chooses to visit a church or a child of God -- He will enable you to accomplish His will.

v. 33 - ''...and great grace was upon them all.'' The word ''great'' literally means ''abundant'' ''a super abounding'' grace. They didn't run out of strength.

They didn't say - ''Well, we just can't get people to visit.''
''We just can't find any more prospects.''
''We just can't grow.''
''We just can't find workers.''

Because every time they said - ''How are we going to do that? -- they would reach down and discover that there was enough and more than enough grace to do what God wanted done ...
