Christian theologian J.I. Packer - ''The final proof that God is a perfect moral being is that he has committed himself to judge the world. There are few things stressed more strongly in the Bible than the reality of God's work as Judge.''

Psalm 96:13 The Lord comes to judge the earth. He will judge
the world in righteousness and the peoples in his faithfulness.

Throughout the OT we see examples of his judgement:
1. Adam and Eve were put out of the Garden of Eden because they broke God's command not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 3).

2. The whole world was destroyed by a flood because of the continual wickedness of mankind (Genesis 7).

3. God destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah with sulfur and brimstone because of their sexual perversion (Genesis 19).

4. God allowed the Babylonians to destroy the holy city of Jerusalem and the temple because the Israelites worshiped idols.

The lawless one will be revealed when the Holy Spirit stops restraining sin in the world like he is doing today (:7). This
personwho wants to be worshipped as God will clearly reveal himself.He will be like Hitler who hid his real agenda until he came to power and then people were not able to stop him.

The lawless one will easily be destroyed by the Lord Jesus Christ.
Breath of his mouth - just a word of judgment that he speaks.

This phrase comes from Isaiah 11:14 describing the Messiah.
With the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked.

During his earthly life Jesus spoke and changed nature.
1. Matthew 8:26 The disciples were afraid of the storm and Jesus rose and rebuked the winds and sea and there was a great calm.
