God of More Than Enough!
William Wyne
Malachi 3:10
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
The Bible teaches us in many places that if we are truly his children and we walk in trust and obedience, we are assured that we have more than enough. We belong to that crowd of not just enough, but more than enough.
God has more than enough forgiveness for our faults, He has more than enough comfort for our conflicts, He has more than enough light for our darkness, and He has more than enough strength for our weakness.
Arabian horses are trained rigorously in the Middle Eastern deserts. The horses must learn to fully obey their master. This obedience is tested by depriving the horses of water for many days and then turning them loose near water. As the horses get to the edge of the water, and just before they drink of the much-needed water. The trainer blows his whistle. If the horses have learned to obey, they turn around and come back to the trainer who then gives them as much water as they need.
Faith in God guides us to believe and think about a God that is beyond, above, anything that we can imagine. When there is a deficit in the faith process, it's not on the God of faith; it's probably because there was a deficit in your faith to trust.
There is no failure in God; there is no shortfall with God.
One of the first things about the foundational principles of a growing and maturing faith is that God is a God of more than enough. He does not just give you the meager to get by; he gives it in abundance. Sometimes its abundance released for now, and then it can be abundance released and reserved. It's there, but it's in reserve to be released as the need is manifested, or when you can receive it and appreciate it.
