Galatians 5:1 (GNT) Freedom is what we have - Christ has set us free! Stand, then, as free people, and do not allow yourselves to become slaves again.

FEAR IS A WEB OF LIES

Satan has been spinning lies since the creation of man and has succeeded in deceiving the entire world that they can live their lives without God. As he spins these webs from every side, people are trapped and unable to move. They are rendered powerless under the spirit of fear. The dictionary defines FEAR as ''an unpleasant often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger.''

False Evidence Appearing Real

Fear takes on so many forms from phobias to paralyzing fright, but for the Christian, fear has been used of the devil to steal so much time and joy from people. (Devil comes to rob, kill, and destroy...) Worry is form of fear and every time we worry, we are in fear. We fear that God will not come through for us, that His promises may not work. We fear calamity or tragedy. We fear death. Fear keeps people bound in prison from not making decisions. While some fear is good (when it is preventative), God wants us to be FREE from the crippling effects of fear when it hinders our walk with God or our witness in the world.

You can be saved and freed from sin but still be bound by fear. The reason behind it is that although our hearts have been given over to God, and Jesus has purchased our redemption, and we have been put in right standing with God through what Christ has done, we are in the PROCESS OF SANCTIFICATION. Let me help you for a moment. There are some churches that teach that in order to be saved, you must believe and receive what Jesus has done for you on the cross, that you be filled with the Holy Spirit (with the evidence of speaking in tongues), and that you are sanctified.
