Acts 4:1-22

Actually the 3rd and 4th chapters of the book of Acts
go together. We have in the 3rd chapter the account of
the miraculous healing of the man who was born lame.
Into the 4th chapter you have the aftermath and the
results and the fallout and the impact of that healing
of the lame man.

There is another subject which really ties these two
chapters together because in the 3rd chapter, two times
mention is made of the name of the Lord Jesus. In
verse 6 of chapter 3 it says "in the name of Jesus
Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." Then in verse
16 it says again, "through faith in his name has made

where the name of Jesus is being preached in power.
So the devil begins to move and begins to send
opposition. It is always true. The Lord Jesus Christ
talked about that. In fact, He told His disciples
that they could expect there would be opposition and
persecution when they proclaimed the name of the Lord
Jesus.

Jesus said in John 15, "if the world hate you, you
know that it hated me before it hated you. ...
