Song of Songs 2:8-3:5
Introduction
As I've mentioned before, Teresa and I met years ago through her brother's church in the Southside of Richmond. I was attending a local church where her brother was pastor and Teresa would often come up on weekends from Virginia Beach to visit him. To be honest I don't know what it was exactly that sparked the interest there but I fell for her rather quickly and obsessively. Needless to say, I was sick with love.
That first year together I lived in Wake Forest and would take every opportunity I had to drive 3.5 hours to go see her, even if it was just for an afternoon. We would talk for hours on the phone; even just laying in bed talking on the phone until Teresa would eventually fall asleep while I talked and I would just hang up the phone and let her rest.
Any of us who have been in love remember those seasons when you can hardly control your desire for the other person, where thoughts of them consume your every moment, when you even feel physically sick. It's both an exhilarating time of life and an agonizing one. But let's just stop for a minute t ...
