I Thessalonians 3:9-13
Often our prayers are asking God to use his almighty power to do something for us that we are not able to do ourselves.
1. We pray for physical healing for our self or someone else.
2. We pray for someone to accept Christ as their Savior.
3. We pray for a circumstance to change in our life.
How often do we thank God for answers to our prayers?
1. Someone was healed from their sickness.
2. The person accepted Christ as their Savior.
3. The circumstance we were concerned about changed.
We need to express our thankfulness to God when answers our prayers. It is showing our gratitude for what God has done for us.
It is easy to forget how good God continually is to us.
Psalm 106:1 O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.

Being thankful causes us to be humble instead of prideful.
THANKSGIVING EXPRESSED :9-10

Paul might have congratulated himself that his work of evangelism had been successful and the believers continued to walk with God in spite of the persecution they faced. But he knew that what took place was due to God's power and what he had done.
He knew that he was an instrument who God had chosen to use.
Acts 9:15 God said, ''Paul is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles.''
God is the one who changes people by his Spirit working in them.
Phil. 2:13 It is God who works in you . . . for his good pleasure. He uses people like Paul and us to share the truth of the gospel, but it is God alone who can change them from sinners to saints.
