Effects of Doing Things God's Way
Jerry Watts
Acts 6:7
Philippians 1:5 says, ''Because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.'' - I am here because of our partnership - and a great partnership it is. Much is going on in this association of churches.
Partnership with our sister Association who has been deeply impacted with a 1000 year flood. We have sent supplies, personnel, money and will be sending more. Their DOM will be speaking at our upcoming Spring Meeting
In the last month, we have had DR Training, a benefit Golf Tourney to raise more Mission Money, and have offered Sentinel Training to help our missionaries be safe in their travels.
I've been asked to preach at this year's Community Easter Sunrise service. This invitation came in conjunction with working the Religious Committee.
On June 3-9 of this year, we have a team of a dozen returning to Red Lodge, Montana, to build a Kitchen for the ''Church of the Rockies.'' This will assist that young church in reaching to this lost community,
Our Cedar Creek Camp Committee is working diligently to pray through and make a recommendation about the future of this camp. We have developed surveys to discover the need for such a facility in our area.
One of our great needs is to re-invigorate Sunday School in our area. With this thought in our minds, we have scheduled a Sunday School Conference for August 15 with the leader being Dr. Lawrence Phipps. This will be a time of encouragement, excitement, and training.
Presently the Pastors are talking about 'how to reach and disciple' our community.
The bottom line is, we are asking, seeking, knocking, and praying about being the people and the church which our Lord Jesus intended for us to be when He said, ''I will build my build my church.''
And it is from that and about that perspective that I'd like to offer you this devotional thought today beginning with this question; How is it that we can change our culture? ...
