A certain man, since he was a child, had always wanted a talking parrot. He saved his money and bought a magnificent parrot, he was absolutely beautiful. There was only one problem, The parrot had a filthy mouth. That parrot could curse a blue-streak for 5 minutes in two different languages without repeating himself. The man was constantly embarrassed because of the language this bird would use in front of people.

He tried reasoning with the bird. He appealed to him in kindness in hopes the bird would clean up his foul mouth but the bird, despite his promises to change, did not. In fact, his swearing increased in both volume and frequency.

Finally, it got to be a bit too much. The man grabbed the parrot and shook him while screaming, ''Quit it! Stop your cursing!!'' But this just made the parrot angry and he swore even more than before. At that point the man locked the bird in the kitchen cabinet which really ticked the bird off and the parrot became even more agitated and he started squawking, clawing and scratching at the cabinet doors. When he finally let the parrot out, the bird let loose a torrent of words that made the man blush.

Now both were angry and the bird's owner did something drastic and impulsive. He threw the bird in the freezer. For the first few seconds the bird squawked and screamed and cursed and thrashed around and then there was silence. At first the man just waited, but then he started to wonder if the bird was hurt or worse, dead. After what seemed like minutes of not hearing anything he was so worried that he opened the freezer door.

To his shock the bird climbed calmly onto the man's outstretched arm and said, ''I'm really sorry about all the trouble I've been causing you. I make you a solemn promise and vow to clean up my language from now on.'' The man was astonished. He couldn't believe the transformation that had just taken ...
