Mark 16:15

We are starting a brand-new series today called ''UNCOVERED: Revealing the Truth of the Holy Spirit.'' Our prayer is that as we study what God's Word teaches us about the Holy Spirit, that we would actually encounter Him, come to know Him more intimately, be filled with His power, and experience an authentic outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our lives, in our families, and in our church.

The ministry of the Holy Spirit in the church is so significant! We were never meant to do this alone. Jesus told us that He would not leave us as orphans, but that He would be with us. He is with us BY THE HOLY SPIRIT. He told us that we would receive POWER (dunamis) when the Holy Spirit would come upon us. It is so important for us to solidify this TRUTH - that the New Testament church was inaugurated on the Day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit was poured out on the 120 in the upper room waiting for the ''promise of the Father.'' Despite what some modern-day theologians and religious leaders want you to believe, the TRUTH is that the church was founded in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. And there was nothing that changed in the dispensation of God that would have stopped the Holy Spirit from continuing to move in power through the church, even to the present day. The church age continues and Jesus Christ is the same - yesterday, today, and forever!
