A person only has to 'pay attention' and 'take note' to realize the progressive and pervasive darkness that is looming over our nation. What I see and hear everyday reminds me that humanity is headed in the wrong direction like sliding down a greased banister. The things I hear people say today - sometimes don't even make sense.

When I say that Our country needs a Spiritual Restoration and Awakening, most every person in the room shouts ''AMEN.'' Honestly, part of the reason is because we see 'their need' and admittedly, it is great.

The problem comes when we come face to face with the 'prerequisite' for such an awakening to take place. A pre-requisite is something that is 'required' before something else can happen. In college, I flunked out of a Junior Level Literature class because - I took it without taking the required classes to be ready for it. The pre-requisite for a Spiritual Awakening to come to the lost people of America (which means they awaken to the truth of the gospel, the Bible, and Jesus; and are saved by Him which results in following Him) is for GOD'S PEOPLE TO EXPERIENCE REVIVAL. I would go this far: If there is no revival in the church among God's people, there is little chance of restoration coming to the lost multitudes of people in our land. While this is an unpopular and difficult truth to preach, it is a truth that is more difficult to get embraced by those who are in the church, Why? How do you communicate this spiritual need a man who has everything this world has talk him he needs (I.E money in the bank, food on the table, a nice house, car, and family, etc). It is difficult at best, if not impossible. Jesus himself knew this truth and spoke it in the ''Eye of the Needle Principle.'' Why is it so difficult for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God? Because of his divided loyalty.
