Ephesians 2:19-3:13
Introduction
It's no secret that in the almost two years I've served you as lead pastor in this church that it has been my desire to lead us in being a people who worship and obey God. It has been my conviction that if we simply did these two things well in faith that every other aspect of our church life would simply fall into place. If you worship and obey God then you will naturally grow in your knowledge of God, you will naturally grow in your fellowship and love for one another, you will naturally humble yourself to serve others, and you will naturally invite others to join you in pursuing Jesus. You will naturally be a disciple who makes disciples who make disciples if you are devoted to worshiping and obeying God.
At the same time, I'd also say though that for two years I've sought to show you how worshiping and obeying God doesn't just come from hard work or focus. Simply put, the key to being a disciple or a follower of Jesus Christ, the key to being a healthy, Spirit-led, assembly of disciples and followers of Jesus Christ, is to be a people defined by the grace of God, shaped by the grace of God, led by the grace of God, and demonstrators of the grace of God. It is God's grace who makes us into a people who worship and obey.
So, then, we could conclude easily that if we are still struggling to worship and obey, whether as individuals or as a c ...
