24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Today we find ourselves in the age of grace. The age of grace is that time between the ascension of Jesus and His return for His church. How long will this present age last? We don't know. As you know, God goes by His own time table or schedule. Jesus did, however, leave us with some prophetic signs that would tell us what things are going to be like when God's clock begins to tick down. Many of these signs have already been fulfilled or are in the process of coming to past. Time is getting short.
In these two verses Paul gives us some good advice about what the church should be doing as we await the end of this present age.
As the clock runs down we should watch out for each other
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Paul is not telling us that we should be kind to each other. Normally, this is the definition of the word considerate. The word ''to consider'' means to observe. That is, we should watch out for each other; we should keep each other in sight. The church should not be a collection of strangers who know little about each other. This is not the same thing as being nosey. God doesn't want us to be busybodies but He does expect us to be responsible for each other.
