c) Easter offering
i) We just spent four weeks on owning our faith and discovering our individual next steps in developing our faith. I want to spend a few moments talking about the power of joint ownership. Specifically, how joining together to impact our communities will undoubtedly change the world. This Easter at Central, we are dedicating our entire Easter offering to go 100% outside our walls and flood the charities of first responders surrounding all five of our campus communities.(Definition of a First Responder is someone designated or trained to respond to an emergency.)
ii) These police and fire dept. charities go above and beyond emergency care to help people and children in their local areas in many ways. It is now, in the spring, when many first responder teams are preparing for the summer and back to school needs, because of Arizona's crazy early school year start. Child hunger is high over summer and our giving will support summer feeding programs and back to school drives for kids.
iii) The character of our church continues to be displayed in all of our Compassion Campaigns. Be a part of this at Easter. Let's be joint owners in the mission.
2) Think Reflection
a) Today we begin our Easter Series
i) It is titled REFLECTIONS
ii) This is a series I've been looking forward to for several months now.
iii) I'm not sure what images come to your mind when you hear the word reflection.
