Matthew 11:28
1. The INVITATION to a SINFUL Laborer!
A) The Exchange that Transpires
B) The Experience that Transforms
2. The MOTIVATION for a HOPEFUL Laborer!
A) We Must Live On for Him
B) We Must Look Up to Him
3. The DESTINATION of a FAITHFUL Laborer
A. The Crowning of a Life
B) The Continuing of a Legacy
Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.
The first governmental recognition came through municipal ordinances passed during 1885 and 1886. From these, a movement developed to secure state legislation. The first state bill was introduced into the New York legislature, but the first to become law was passed by Oregon on February 21, 1887. By 1894, 23 other states had adopted the holiday in honor of workers, and on June 28, 1894, Congress passed an act making the first Monday in September a legal holiday to honor the countries workers.
- 2013-2015: 3.2 million workers displaced from jobs
- July: Jobless rates up in 7 states
- July 2016: 125.51 million employed in US
- July: 4.9% unemployment in US/Kentucky
God has His own department of labor. Tragically, there are far too many unemployed in His labor force as well. However, for those fearful, fruitful and faithful laborers, the benefit package is 2nd to none.
I want us to take a look at 3 times the word ''labour'' is used in the NT. We find 3 pictures of 3 different types of laborers, and what God has to offer them.

- 1st of 4 Invitations in the Word of God*--''COME''
