Psalm 34:8
Today marks the end of our 21-day church-wide fast, a time of consecration unto the Lord which included setting time aside every day to turn away from the pleasures of the flesh and pray, allowing ourselves to grow spiritually. Many of you had pressing matters that you were bringing before the Lord. Some of you had some long-term prayers that you were asking for answers on. Some of you were praying for loved ones, for marriages, and for direction, for finances or for job situations. Some of you were asking God to break some things off of you that were threats to your spiritual growth.
We don't fast and pray to try to get God to do things for us, BUT there are PROMISES that God has given to those that would spend time in seeking Him. Listen, our heart is that now that our 21-day fast is completed that you would just be getting your engine started. This time was purposed by God to give you a taste of what it is like to walk closer to Him every day.
Psalm 34:8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
My prayer is that you would experience more of Jesus in your life. My heart's desire as a shepherd is to see you blessed - to lead you to green pastures and beside the still waters, to see you fed, nourished, and healthy spiritually.
Let's talk about some of the promises of those that would seek the Lord:
1. We APPREHEND God
2. Our ANOINTING Increases
3. God does AMAZING Things
We Apprehend God
Philippians 3:12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
