Psalm 33:8
We all know what Tuesday is - it is Election Day. A pivotal day in America's future. The presidential race has been interesting watching the 2 candidates trying to swing votes to their side. But TRUTH BE TOLD, while you and I may have our opinions on the better of the two candidates, there can be no perfect president. We must vote because it is our obligation and our privilege as a US citizen, and we must vote our convictions, based on the reasons we side with one candidate or the other, but my hope for you today, is that you would walk away from this service, with a better perspective, a Biblical perspective, a deeper understanding of your part and your place in this world, regardless of who enters the oval office next year!
There is only one perfect choice for us - His Name is Jesus! What does it mean when I say we choose Jesus? It means we choose the One who is:
1. Perfect
2. Greater
3. Stronger - He is Almighty God
4. Wiser - He is the all-wise God
5. Above all - higher than any other
6. Sovereign - rules over the nations
Psalm 33:8 Let all the earth fear the Lord; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. 9 For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. 10 The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. 11 The counsel of the Lord stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations. 12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance. (KEY VERSE)
