ii) I hope that you won't look at me differently... but we were very fortunate

iii) Our family had a maid... yes, a maid.
(1) Someone who was provided for us to meet our every whim and wish.
(2) And, like most people who had maids growing up... we took her for granted and we took advantage of her.
(3) This maid would do the cooking, clean the house including picking up after us, do our laundry, we even talked her into driving us wherever we needed to go.
(4) As hard as this is to believe, we could even talk her into giving us money. If all fairness, though, she did this only when she felt it was necessary or good for us.
(5) When we were sick she would take care of us, even carting us to the doctor when necessary.

iv) Yes, we had a maid... BTW... we didn't call her this, we called her ''mom.''
(1) But only because she WAS our mom.
(2) Actually she was mom first... then ''maid''
(3) On second thought... your home was probably very much like the one I grew up in.
(4) My kids have grown up with a Maid also.

v) Today is the day that we stop and appreciate how BLESSED WE HAVE BEEN, and how seldom we've ever stopped to appreciate it!
