2) How's Your Memory?
a) Attending a Memory Enhancement Seminar
i) There was once two retired couples that were having dinner together. The women were preparing things in the kitchen and the men were sitting on the back porch just visiting.
ii) One of the elderly men was excitedly telling his friend of an incredible experience he had just had. He spent this past week at a seminar that taught him how to sharpen and enhance his memory. He just couldn't and wouldn't stop raving about it. It was just phenomenal. It was all about learning how to ''associate'' one thing with another so that you could recall the memory.
iii) The other elderly gentleman was duly impressed and he asked his friend what the name of the seminar was. At this, his friend began to blush a little and laugh under his breath... ''You know, it's funny, but for the life of me I just don't recall the name!''
iv) ''But!'' He said, ''Let me show you what they taught me so that I can answer your question. It's all about association. So... help me here. What's that thing that grows outside, has thorns, a long stem, and has a beautiful flower at its end?''
v) ''A rose?'' the other gentleman offered.
vi) ''YES! THAT'S IT!!!''
vii) Then he yelled to his wife who was still in the kitchen... ''Hey ROSE! What was the name of the memory enhancement seminar I just attended?''
b) You don't have to be old to forget
i) When I was growing up...
ii) A neighbor who lived across the street who would often work on his car.
iii) I would talk to him, asking him lots and lots of questions about cars (For those of you old enough to understand this... picture Denise the M ...
