Philippians 2:5-11
What is Christmas about? We all know, of course, that it is not about Santa Claus or Christmas trees, or presents, ornaments and stockings. The proper ''church answer'' is that Christmas is about the birth of Christ. It is about the most important event in all of history. Our calendars worldwide are scheduled around the appearing of God in a stable in Bethlehem. When we say that Christmas is about the birth of Christ we are only partly correct. For His appearing implies so much more than just being born. It implies His purpose in being born, and the process whereby God would bring redemption to mankind.

However, this passage contains the REAL truth about Christmas and the purpose for why it exists. Hopefully we will be able to shed some new light on Christmas form this passage in Philippians.
