Psalm 19:1-6
Psalm 19.1-6 - The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the earth and their utterances to the end of the world. In them he has placed a tent for the sun, which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; it rejoices as a strong man to run his course. Its rising is from one end of the heavens, and its circuit to the other end of them; and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
God is here and He is not silent. God has spoken to all creation through creation.
In contending for our faith there is much we can learn through a careful study of this amazing universe of which we are just a very small part. A careful study of this world and humanity will not lead us away from belief in God, it will not weaken belief in God but serve to bolster or belief in God.
It will also assist us in answering great questions of life: Where did I come from? Why am I here? What is my reason for being? What is my purpose? Does life have any meaning? What is wrong with this world? With me? Will it ever be made right? Where am I going? What will happen to me when I die?
Before we can answer these questions, we must answer the two most foundational questions: Does God exist? Can I know Him?
We are going to begin working on that first question this morning. As we seek to answer the question, does God exist there are only two options available. God exists and created all there is. God does not exists and evolution is responsible for all there is
