1 Corinthians 15:14-19
How do I know there is a God? How do I know the Bible is true? How do I know that Christianity is true and all other religions false? How do I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and can or will do what He said? How do I know Jesus Christ is the only way to God and was a suitable sacrifice for sin? How do I know that when I die I will go to heaven and spend eternity with God?
To put it simply how do I know that Jesus Christ is who He said He is and did what Christianity claims He did - provide salvation and forgiveness?
Those are some very important questions. They deserve answers. It may surprise you but I will give you one answer today, and give you reasons to trust that answer, that will satisfy everyone of those questions and become one more piece of evidence in what is a very overwhelming case for Christianity.
The answer is found in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
1. Acts 17.31 - God will judge the world with justice by the man He has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising Him from the dead.
2. The resurrection is vindication to the radical claims of Christ and Christianity.
3. Billy Graham - If I were an enemy of Christianity, I would take aim at the resurrection. It is the heart of Christianity.
The Resurrection separates Christianity from every other religion. Christianity begins where every other religion ends. Every other world religion can point to a founding father. They can also point to His grave. In a very real sense that is where their stories end. Christianity points to a tomb but it is not the end of our story but the beginning because the tomb is empty.
