i) On the 12th of this month, something strange happened. Something unusual.
(1) It made the news.

(2) They began to look in other places in the couch... they found more envelopes... most containing around $1000.
(3) When it was all done... they had found $40,000!!!

(2) Are you obligated to return this???
(3) The lady was located in the phone book... so one of the college kids gave her a call to see if she associated the couch with the money.
(4) He explained to her that they had bought the couch from the salvation army... she cut him off... ''I left a lot of money in that couch!''

v) He said they would bring her back the money
(1) They didn't earn it.
(2) It was rightfully hers.

vi) This is where some people think these college students to be incredibly foolish...
(1) They say they SHOULDN'T have returned the money.
(2) They say the money was rightfully THEIRS TO KEEP.
(3) They are suggesting these students were IDIOTS.

vii) What do you think? What would you do?

viii) Here's the story...
(1) Year ...
