If you want to find God, look for him in the unexpected.
1) Welcome
a) Greetings to all
i) Thank you for your presence with us today
ii) This is a very special time of year, and this hour we will share is a very moment in time to celebrate.
iii) So glad to have you here
iv) Shout out to all campuses
b) In fact, to thank you for being here... We have a special gift for you
i) As you leave today, we're going to put this book in your hands.
ii) The book is Plan B - By Pete Wilson, Founding Pastor of Cross Point Church in Nashville
iii) Our Journey through The Story
iv) We will break that now for a few weeks as we transition to a four week series called simply Plan B
(1) So often, things don't go in life as we had planned...
(a) Plan A fell apart
(b) We are living Plan B
(2) I want to invite you to join us for this series while will begin on January 3,4
(3) We would love to have you be a part of this.
(a) We will conclude this series on January 31st, Super Bowl Weekend
(b) On that weekend, Pete will be our guest and bring the message to all of our services.
(4) Would love to have you hear him and possibly meet him.
2) The Complication of Christmas
a) So... are you ready for Christmas?
b) Have you ever thought about how complicated Christmas has become?
i) Have you noticed this?
(1) The older you get the more complicated it gets.
(a) When you were young... it seemed like Christmas took forever to get here.
(b) Now... trying to get all the work you need to get done in such a short time makes it complicated.
(i) Putting up the tree
(ii) Putting the lights on the house
(iii) Lots of chores to be accomplished
(2) The more kids you have the more complicated it gets.
(3) The more grandkids you have, the more complicated it gets
(4) If there's a divorce in your family, that complicates it.
(5) You have to go to parties you don't want to be act and have to act like you're enjoying ...
