Big Idea: If you worry, why pray? If you pray, why worry?
1) Opening Comments:
a) Greetings
b) Before I get to the message:
i) I want to talk about where we're going
ii) In John 10:10 Jesus said, ''I came so that everyone would have life, and have it in its fullest.'' CEV
(1) It seems that God has BIG PLANS for our lives
(2) He wants to give us a great life!
iii) It seems that so often we settle for ''less'' than what the Bible says God wants for us.
(1) He wanted us to have life to the ''fullest''
(2) A life of MORE
(3) We settle instead for a life of LESS
iv) While people won't just come out and say it...
(1) The life I'm living isn't good, but it's ''good enough''
(2) It's not really great but it's ''close enough''
v) We live...
(1) With the pain of brokenness
(2) With the disappointment of failure
(3) With the dashed dreams of our hearts
vi) We were designed to live AN ABUNDANT LIFE... not to settle for LESS!
(1) The life that is Truly Life!
(2) God's desire is for you to THRIVE, not merely SURVIVE!
vii) Next week we start a new series... Made For More
(1) Pull out the card you were handed
(a) So often we live a ''less than'' life
(b) Things become more important than they should be
(c) The one thing that should never be on the right side... GOD
