Big Idea: Where you look determines what you see
1) Welcome and Greeting
2) Taking a Look
a) We just returned from exploring Israel
i) Seeing sights you've only heard or read about can change your life
ii) The promise I always make to people when I take them to Israel:
(1) You'll never read the Bible the same way again.
(2) It makes the Bible go from black and white to COLOR
iii) Seeing it for yourself changes everything
iv) Anyone who just returned with me would surely agree
b) I want to cause you to think about how much we value our eyes
i) Truth be known, most of us take our eyesight for granted
ii) WE EXPECT TO SEE
(1) We think of vision as a ''right''
(2) Most of us probably think we see really well...
(a) Some of us surely do
(b) Some of us don't but think we do
(c) Others don't and they know it
c) And I want you to think about how much we trust our eyes
i) If I didn't see it with my own eyes...
(1) Seeing is believing
(2) Seeing puts out mind to rest
ii) When our eyes see something ''strange,'' our mind is confused
iii) Watch the following video VERY CAREFULLY
(1) Show the video of the woman with the mink coat
(2) Real or fake?
d) How do we access what is real and true?
i) I have to see it to believe it
ii) Your brain and your eyes were made to work together
