a) Fielder's Choice
i) What is a Fielder's choice?
(1) In baseball, it's what it's called when a player chooses one of several options in executing a play.
(2) He could this, he could do that.
ii) There is no ''right/wrong'' to a Fielder's Choice
iii) Make this play, or that play
(1) It gets scored as whatever he chooses
(2) It gets recorded as whatever he chooses

b) Why this theme for us?
i) There are a handful of topics that are not related specifically to any of our ''themes'', but that we wanted to cover.
ii) You could put them here...
iii) You could put them there...
iv) They don't necessarily tie together, they just need to be covered.

3) An Observation: Following Jesus is Hard!

a) Receiving salvation is easy...becoming a true follower of Jesus is difficult

b) Jesus said some very difficult things
i) He would often get in people's grille.
ii) He was not overly sensitive to how people reacted to what he said.
iii) He was fearless in his living and didn't back down from anyone or anything.

c) John 6

i) John 6:66 ''From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.''

ii) Inevitably... you have to decide if you are going to do what he says... or not.

iii) So, at this point, just about everyone left from following him
(1) Jesus asked his disciples... You leaving too?
(2) Their response? Where would we go?

d) One of the tragedies of modern Christianity...

i) We keep trying to make Christianity easier than Jesus ever did, or intended to do.

ii) Today churches are seeking to grow trying to ''sof ...
